A TAILOR MADE RIDE

The nicely bolstered seats, especially the front one provides good support. The driver’s high seating position is tailor made for city driving and the quarter glass treatment near the A-pillar improves visibility. The ride feels supple and it feels far more composed with no undulations.

A STABLE DRIVE

The Ritz feels at home on the highway, being stable at high speeds and holding its lines even at its limit. During the testing, the Ritz was easier to ruffle under hard breaking. Ritz features well balanced suspension, this ensures that the car handles variety of terrain with reasonable aplomb.

Ritz’s suspension has been raised and softened to deal with our road conditions, which will make it appear to the wider audience. Ritz steering feels linear, precise and shows how electric steering (EPS) has dramatically improved.

CONTROLLED AND ACCURATE STEERING

Attack a corner in the Ritz and you’ll find a steering that is direct and grip levels that are good. In the city, the newer Maruti feels nimble, it absorbs most bumps. For maneuvering in the city, the Ritz is easier. The high-set seats and good visibility make it easier to place and get out of tight spots.

What we did was to drive the car over a 100 km loop and the Ritz impressed with its drivability. The shift of the 5-speed box is extremely good too. The quality of drive in most road conditions is good.

ROCK STEADY EVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS

The Ritz has sound stability at high speeds. Without a hint of uneasiness, it manages to be rock steady on highways. The drive in the city on the bumpy and pot hole laden roads of pune was a lot more comfortable in the Ritz with softened suspension damping, probably being up there with the best in the segment.
