COMFORTABLE AND PRACTICAL
Since the seats are positioned higher up there’s better visibility for the driver. To further boost comfort, Suzuki’s engineers have tuned the suspension to make the car ride better and of course account for the 30mm increase in ground clearance.
A TAILOR MADE RIDE
The nicely bolstered seats, especially the front one provides good support. The driver’s high seating position is tailor made for city driving and the quarter glass treatment near the A-pillar improves visibility. The ride feels supple and it feels far more composed with no undulations.
A STABLE DRIVE
The Ritz feels at home on the highway, being stable at high speeds and holding its lines even at its limit. During the testing, the Ritz was easier to ruffle under hard breaking. Ritz features well balanced suspension, this ensures that the car handles variety of terrain with reasonable aplomb.
NEAR PERFECT SUSPENSION
Ritz’s suspension has been raised and softened to deal with our road conditions, which will make it appear to the wider audience. Ritz steering feels linear, precise and shows how electric steering (EPS) has dramatically improved.
CONTROLLED AND ACCURATE STEERING
Attack a corner in the Ritz and you’ll find a steering that is direct and grip levels that are good. In the city, the newer Maruti feels nimble, it absorbs most bumps. For maneuvering in the city, the Ritz is easier. The high-set seats and good visibility make it easier to place and get out of tight spots.
IMPRESSIVE DRIVABILITY
What we did was to drive the car over a 100 km loop and the Ritz impressed with its drivability. The shift of the 5-speed box is extremely good too. The quality of drive in most road conditions is good.
SOFT SUSPENSIONS TOPPED WITH PRECISE STEERING
The soft suspensions of the Ritz, absorbs all but the worst urban bumps. The steering is precise and predictable and quite well weighted and is stable at speed as well as easy to park and maneuver around town.
A LOW CENTRE OF GRAVITY LENDS IT PERFECT CONTROL
Despite the height, engineers have managed to keep the centre of gravity lower than you’d expect. It doesn’t thrash its way through road imperfections but rather absorbs them along the way, which makes those long drives less stressful.
EXCELLENT POSITIONING
Driving position is excellent- the gear shift lever falling nicely to hand and the steering being at the right height.
THE BEST HANDLING CAR THERE IS
The Ritz dives with authority. It absorbs bumps and undulation with aplomb. It is the best riding small car here. It also has comfy front seats. The Suzuki is also the quietest of the lot which adds to the comfort factor. It is the best handling car here.
INCREDIBLE PRESENCE ON THE ROAD
Tail gate design gives it a modern look. When it moves on the road the boomerang shape makes people stop and look at the car. The car makes you feel its road presence. Indian people can sit very comfortably in the car.
ROCK STEADY EVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS
The Ritz has sound stability at high speeds. Without a hint of uneasiness, it manages to be rock steady on highways. The drive in the city on the bumpy and pot hole laden roads of pune was a lot more comfortable in the Ritz with softened suspension damping, probably being up there with the best in the segment.
